Fith Grade
I graduated high school in 1994 from Mansfield High School. I went on to graduate with my Associates of Arts Pre Accounting in 1996 from Carl Albert State College in Poteau. I took a little time off to establish my family and then continued my education at Arkansas Tech University with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education in 2003. I have since furthered my education at Walden University receiving 24 additional hours studying Mathematics.
I have recently received training in OUR mathematics and attended RISE academy.
This is my 20th year of teaching. I began my career in 2003 with Fort Smith Public School teaching 5th grade and 2nd grade. I moved to Hartford Elementary in 2007, and taught 5th / 6th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. I begain teaching within the Hackett School District at the Hartford Campus in 2015 and this year will be my fifth year on the Hackett Campus teaching 5th grade Math, Writing and Literacy Support.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Brandon, since August 12, 1995. We have 3 amazing boys, Tyler, 26 who is married to Rachel and have given us two precious grandbaby girls IvyJane 2 years old & Rawlings 10 months old, Brennan, 23 and Jaden 20. Tyler works at Dupree and Rachel is a kindergarten teacher at Mansfield. Brennan is currently a road driver at FedEx Freight and Jaden is currently living the home life at home each day. We currently have 16 chickens, 2 dogs named Harley and Blue and a cat named Feral. In my free time I enjoy reading, going to church, and spending time with family and friends.
I love gardening with my husband and we enjoy canning salsa and making pickles. I love to read, sit on the front porch and enjoy the mountain view, and I love to swim.
