I graduated from Greenewood High School and attend UAFS, Arkansas Tech University, and Northern Arizona University.
I have degrees in Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. This past summer I completed Pre-AP Science Certification for grades 5-8.
I started at Hackett Elementary as a parapro in 2004 and began teaching 5th and 6th grades in 2006. This year I will begin teaching in the STAR Academy.
Prior to working at Hackett Elementary, I was a preschool teacher and director for several years.
My husband and I were married in 1993. We have one daughter and she graduated from Hackett High School in 2015. She married her high school sweetheart in 2017. In addtition to my dogs, we own a small farm that occupies our extra time. We raise chickens, rabbits, and goats now.
I love being outdoors. My hobbies include camping, hunting, fishing, and cooking. I am a licensed Arkansas Hunter Education Instructor and a 4-H leader for the James Fork 4-H Club.
