Welcome to the Hackett Elementary School Homepage!
The 2016-17 school year is an exciting year and is going great. We have an outstanding staff at our school who work tirelessly to help our students reach their full potential in their classrooms. We have added an increased amount of technology into our building, and we try to expose our students to more and more technology that will help prepare them as they advance in their education. We truly believe our school has been blessed, not only with great students, but also with a supportive community and families.
Tura Bailey, Elementary Principal
Believing that all students can learn, the mission of Hackett Elementary School is to provide our students with the environment essential to the development of good mental, social, physical and academic skills. Our students will utilize these to become responsible and productive elementary students producing a strong foundation and a sense of positive self-worth.
Each year, the Office for Education Policy(OEP) at the University of Arkansas creates a report entitled the Outstanding Educational Performance Awards highlighting the highest-performing schools in Arkansas. We are pleased to share with you that Hackett Elementary School has been awarded a “Most Improved” OEP award for performance on the Grade 5 Science exam. These awards are given to schools that have shown the greatest improvement in science performance over a five-year period. Awards are based on the OEP-created “school GPA,” calculated on the basis of the percentage of students that perform at a particular level on the Benchmark or End-of-Course exam (advanced, proficient, basic, and below basic). Congratulations to Hackett Students!
